🥇 Ryan Chow – Division 5 Champion

A huge congratulations to Ryan Chow, who delivered an exceptional performance to claim the Division 5 title. Ryan showcased consistency, composure, and attacking flair throughout the tournament, earning a well-deserved championship victory. This result reflects his dedication and steady improvement over recent months.

💪 Aidan Pham – Top 8 in Two Divisions

Equally impressive was the performance of Aidan Pham, who achieved Top 8 finishes in both Division 4 and Division 5. Competing strongly across two divisions is no small feat, and Aidan demonstrated remarkable endurance and skill against tough competition.

These results highlight the strength and depth of talent within Pymble Table Tennis Club. We are incredibly proud of both Ryan and Aidan for representing our club with determination and sportsmanship.

Congratulation to all of them, the players didn’t get any title fight again next month.

in 2026 , our sports facility has resumed normal operations, and we hope to continue receiving your support. Although the council has increased the rent again this year, putting some pressure on our operations, we remain committed to providing everyone with a quality recreational space and have no plans to adjust our entry fee at this time.

if there is anything you feel we can improve please do not hesitate to share your suggestions with us. We will take your feedback to heart and strive to make enhancements where needed.

Pymble Table Tennis Club wrapped up its June Monthly Competition with a fantastic display of talent, sportsmanship, and exciting matches across all divisions. Players from all age groups and skill levels showcased their dedication and improvement, making it another memorable tournament at the club.

Vincent Chen claimed the top spot with consistent and aggressive play, narrowly defeating Anton in a thrilling final. Joseph Nguyen also impressed with strong rallies to earn third place.

🥈 Runner-up: Michael Liu

🥉 Bronze: Jasper W

Group B saw fierce competition, with Bruce Yuan taking the gold after a strong performance throughout the tournament. Michael Liu fought hard for second, while Jasper W secured the bronze after a determined effort in the playoff match.

Pymble Table Tennis Club is thrilled to celebrate the outstanding achievements of Head Coach James Wong, who proudly represented Australia at the World Masters Games 2025 in Taipei and New Taipei City, Taiwan.

Competing in the 70+ age category, James Wong demonstrated remarkable skill and determination, claiming two gold medals in one of the world’s largest multi-sport events for veteran athletes.

Held between May 17 and May 30, the World Masters Games welcomed over 25,000 participants from around the globe. The table tennis events were hosted at the Xinzhuang Gymnasium in New Taipei City, where James showcased his decades of experience and strategic finesse on the international stage.

Coach Wong secured gold in the Men’s Singles, dominating his matches with signature precision and calm under pressure. He and his teammate Cyrus Pestonji also won the Men’s Teams event, earning a second gold medal and solidifying his status as a world-class player and leader.

"This is an incredibly proud moment not just for me, but for our whole club community back in Pymble," said James Wong. "Representing Australia and bringing home two gold medals is a dream come true. I hope this inspires all our players—young and old—to keep striving and enjoying the sport."

Club members praised the achievement, saying, "James has always been a source of inspiration to our players. His success at the World Masters Games is a testament to his dedication, discipline, and love for the sport. We're lucky to have him as a mentor and coach."

In an incredible display of skill and determination, our head coach, James, has emerged as one of the standout performers at the recent National Veterans Championships. Competing in the Over-65 and 70 categories, James secured an impressive haul of three gold medals and two silver medals, marking a dominant presence in multiple events throughout the competition.

His exceptional performance didn’t go unnoticed, as James was also honoured with the prestigious Best Player Award in the Over-70 Men’s division, further cementing his status as one of the top players in his age group.

The Championships brought together some of the finest veteran table tennis players from across the country and saw fierce competition in all categories. However, James’ extraordinary performance stood out as he fought his way to the podium in event after event.

James said about his achievement, “It’s an amazing feeling to come out on top, especially at such a competitive event. I couldn’t have done it without the support of my club and teammates. This is a moment I will always cherish.”

With this latest success, James continues to inspire fellow players, showing that passion for the sport and hard work can lead to remarkable achievements at any age.
